ODB recommends Lubemaster Premalube #2 grease. Do not go cheap on grease or you’ll be sorry in the long run. These bearings are run extremely fast, at high temperature and in very dusty and dirty environments. It takes an exceptional, premium grease to fight all those elements. How can I make the impeller easier to remove the next time? Apply an anti-seize grease to the bushing and shaft when you install the bushing. This will help keep the bushing from “welding” itself to the shaft. How can I keep the intake hose from wearing in the same spot over and over? Rotate the hose a quarter turn every day. This will allow the hose to wear evenly.
